About the Partnership

Paralympian

Allianz officially began its eight-year worldwide partnership with the Olympic & Paralympic Movements on Jan. 1 2021, building on a collaboration with the Paralympic Movement since 2006.

Since announcing the partnership in September 2018, we have engaged fans, athletes, teams and employees through health across four pilot markets – Australia, China, France and Spain.

Partnership with the Olympic Federation of Ireland and Paralympics Ireland

In Allianz, we have been a proud partner of Paralympics Ireland since 2010, making us the longest supporter of Para Sport in Ireland. Through our partnership, our aim is to promote greater diversity in Irish Sport and showcase the amazing athletes involved in Para Sport.

In 2021 we were delighted to build on our long-term support of Para sport, entering into a partnership with the Olympic Federation of Ireland, becoming the only supporter of the Olympic & Paralympic Movement both globally and locally. We are proud to have extended this partnership all the way through to 2028.   

Our local partnerships enable us to get behind all of our Team Ireland Olympic and Paralympic athletes on their sporting journeys, inspiring them to write their own future with the support of Allianz to underwrite it.

In April 2023 we were delighted to announce our new partnership with record-breaking Irish sprinter, Rhasidat Adeleke.

Rhasidat’s determination, drive, and passion for excellence make her an inspiration to all and we are thrilled to welcome her into the Allianz global family as our newest sporting ambassador. 

At Allianz, we are proud to be global and local partners of the Olympic and Paralympic Movement, and to be continuing to build on our strong support of Ireland’s future athletes, inspiring them to write their own future with the support of Allianz to underwrite it.

At Allianz Ireland we are proud to have been working with Paralympic swimmer Ellen Keane since 2017 to promote the common goal of better representation in society as well as sport. 

This partnership aligns with a core strategic priority at Allianz to promote gender equality and inclusion, and supplements our partnership with Paralympics Ireland which began in 2010, making Allianz the longest standing supporter of Para Sport in Ireland.

Since 2021, Allianz has expanded local initiatives to connect with athletes and fans across the world. To name a few, we have offered consumers and employees the chance to take part in the Olympic Torch Relay at Beijing 2022 and have engaged youth with the spirit & values of the Movements at its Allianz Move Now Sports Camps through trying sports, building friendships, and learning from athletes.

Allianz has also supported the Movements with tailored insurance solutions and services.
