The following are a list of frequently asked questions and answers, which will help you better understand the excellent coverage that an Allianz multi trip holiday insurance policy provides.

Age Limit

 

Is there an age limit?

 

No, there is no age limit for Allianz multi trip holiday insurance cover.

Claims

 

If I want to make a claim on a policy who do I contact?

 

OSG handle all travel claims on behalf of Allianz and their number is 01 2611540.

Emergency Helpline

 

Do you have an emergency help line I can contact abroad?

 

Yes, Mondial Assitance handle emergency calls on behalf of Allianz when you're abroad and their number is 00 353 1 6373686. Full details are included in your policy.

Golf Equipment

 

If I take my golf clubs with me on holiday, are they covered for loss or damage?

 

Golf cover is optional and must be selected by you in order to cover the replacement or repair costs for loss or damage to your golfing equipment.

Holidays in Ireland

 

Am I covered for holidays in Ireland?

 

No, this insurance specifically covers travelling abroad.

How long can I travel at any one time?

 

How long can I travel at any one time?

 

There are three options available to choose from; up to 35 days, up to 60 days and up to 90 days for any one trip.

Lost Passport

 

If I lose my passport while abroad and need to obtain a replacement, are the associated costs covered?

 

Yes, we will cover your additional travelling and accommodation expenses abroad as a result of losing your passport and obtaining a replacement during the insured journey.

Luggage

 

Is my luggage covered as standard or do I need to advise you of specific details?

 

Loss or damage to your personal luggage is covered as standard.

Medical Conditions

 

Am I insured if I have a medical condition?

 

If you are aware, at the time of taking out this policy that you have or have had any medical condition for which you are taking prescribed medication, or are waiting to receive, or have received treatment (including surgery, tests or investigations) within the last two years, then you must contact OSG (our medical screening service) on 01 2611416 and advise them of your medical condition and they will let you know your cover options.

Mid Term Adjustments

 

Can I select optional covers or change my policy during the year?

 

Yes, just call us and let us know the required change and we will amend your policy and issue your revised documents.

Pregnant

 

Will you insure me if I am pregnant?

 

Yes, we will insure you to travel but we will not cover any pregnancy related medical or related expenses incurred abroad.

Stolen Currency

 

If my foreign currency is stolen, can I claim for the stolen amount?

 

Yes, your personal money (including foreign currency) is covered for loss. The multip trip holiday insurance policy also covers loss of or damage to your credit cards if they are stolen during the insured journey.

Winter Sports Equipment

If I take my skis with me on my ski holiday, are they covered for loss or damage?

 

Winter sports equipment cover is optional and must be selected by you in order to cover the replacement or repair costs for loss or damage to ski equipment owned by you. Winter sports cover must be selected by you in order to cover ski equipment hired by you.
